Executive Director - kimberly

Kim has been in the ELCC field for 24 years. Starting her career in Moose Jaw, SK. as a “Day Care Worker” in 1998. She has had the opportunity to witness the many advancements the Early Learning sector has encountered over the years. The field just keeps growing and advancing for the better. Upon moving with her husband to Saskatoon, Kim was hired on as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) at the Saskatoon center in 2008. After the organization encountered some challenges, Kim was offered an interim Director position due to her experience and knowledge in Early Learning and Child Care. After seeing the organization through their challenges, Kim was offered, and accepted the permanent Director position. As the organization inspired to add another center in Warman, Kim played a key role in the development and opening of our Warman center. Thereafter became the Executive Director of LELC.

Kim is very grateful for the team of Directors and Educators that help make LELC such a fantastic organization to be a part of. She is excited for what the future holds for LELC and can’t wait to keep driving for success and growth with her team!

accountant - Jennifer

Jennifer grew up in rural southwest Manitoba.  As a teenager, she was heavily involved in the 4-H program and obtained her lifeguard certification.  After a Business Administration diploma, she obtained a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of Calgary in 2002 and a Certified General Accountant’s designation in 2004.  Jennifer has over 25 years experience in the public practise, industry, government and not-for-profit accounting sectors.  Jennifer joined the LELC Board of Directors in January 2016 as Treasurer and also held the Director of Staffing role before leaving the board and joining the ranks of LELC staff in October 2018.

The closest Jennifer came to early learning was teaching swimming lessons!  Although not on the front lines of child care with LELC, Jennifer enjoys supporting the needs of our LELC families from the office.

Jennifer and her husband Greg have been married since 2010.  Both her son and daughter have now graduated from the LELC daycare and preschool programs.  They live in Warman with a lovable geriatric cat. Jennifer enjoys puttering in her flowerbeds or curling up with a good book when she is not at work or shuttling kids to activities.

Saskatoon Director - Krystina

Krystina was born and raised in Saskatoon and has been training and working within the ELCC field for 11 years. She began her ECE career out of SIAST as a Preschool Teacher with a cooperative preschool and provided nanny services in the summer months. At the end of her last maternity leave, Krystina made the choice to provide home childcare for her children’s younger years. After Krystina’s son and daughter grew and both went off to school full-time, she made the decision to branch back out into an Early Learning Centre environment and joined LELC’s team of directors in 2021.

Krystina and her husband have been together for eight years, married for two. They live in Saskatoon with their two children and canine companion. She considers herself a lifelong learner and born explorer, so travelling is one of her favourite things! There is nothing more exciting or stimulating than seeing and experiencing new things! In her spare time at home, you might find her training her dog to do goofy tricks, or enjoying a good Netflix or podcast binge.

Warman Director - Kristen

Kristen was born and raised in Estevan, SK. In 2007 she moved to Saskatoon where she took ECE at Saskpolytechnic. She worked in centers for several years in Saskatoon before becoming a nanny for ten years.  In February 2021 Kristen became a sub at LELC in Warman. She loved being back in the early learning environment and accepted a fulltime position in the School-age and Preschool program that September. In December 2021 Kristen accepted the position of program advisor and finally in September 2022 Kristen joined LELC’s team of directors. She looks forward to working with her team to create an environment where children can develop and grow all aspects of themselves.

Kristen and her husband moved to Warman in 2014 where they currently live with their daughter and dog. Kristen loves to travel and experience new places. Her and her family enjoy summers at Wakaw lake. In her spare time she enjoys going for walks with her puppy, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.

centennial Director - naTasha

Natasha (aka Tasha) has been a part of LELC’s team since September 2012 and has worked in many positions such as an ECE, a supervisor and then as the Director of the Saskatoon location. She transferred to the Martensville location in 2015 to take over the Director position there. She has also had the opportunity to cover a maternity leave position as the Executive Director of LELC. Tasha has her ECE Level 3 and couldn’t imagine doing anything else! She loves the new experiences each day brings and learning alongside the children. Tasha says “there is nothing better than seeing each new day through the eyes of a child.”

Tasha and her husband have been together for 13 years and married for 6 of those. They live in Waldheim with their 2 crazy cats. Tasha enjoys being outdoors working in her yard and has started gardening and canning in the last few years. On those cold, dreary Saskatchewan nights, she enjoys curling up with a warm blanket and a good book. She also has an addiction to coffee!!! Family is top priority for her and her husband. They enjoy darting off to Alberta to see their siblings and nieces and nephews, or Manitoba for a relaxing time with their family there and on the farm.

Nutritional Program Manager - Jason

Jason and his wife have been married for fifteen years, and together for twenty five. They enjoy their time together hiking and camping in the northern Saskatchewan forest with their two dogs. Over the years Jason has self taught many valuable skills and trades including plumbing and mechanics. He rebuilt his 1971 Chevelle, changing the drive train and built a new motor for the potential of the 1/4 mile!

He grew up in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and has been cooking from the young age of six helping measuring and mixing for Christmas baking. A complicated family dynamic in his early childhood made the ability to cook healthy meals harder for his family. He stepped up and started cooking meals for his family while experimenting with his own recipes from scratch. Cooking has since then become a passion, a past time and now a career path.

Through different fields of work, Jason has lead strong teams of various skill levels, teaching, guiding and motivating each employee to have a strong work ethic, communicate and strive for the best. He has managed inventory in different fields of work over the years and is exited to develop nutritious menus to promote good eating habits and healthy choices in all LELC children.
